Newly admitted students of the Catholic University Institute of Buea, the Growth Mindset Entrepreneurial University; have been called upon to respect the rules and regulation governing the university and also to make good use of the structures put in place by the management of the university, to ensure that they have the best experience while schooling in CUIB.
The call was made by the President of the Institution Prof. Victor Julius Ngoh during the orientation and welcoming ceremony of the freshmen and women for the 2022/2023 school year which took place on Friday 7th October 2022 and Saturday 8th October 2022 at the Buea main campus and the Douala campus respectively.
Welcoming of freshman is a flagship tradition of CUIB where the entire faculty and staffofficially greet all the newly admitted students before taking them into the general orientation ceremony for them to understand the mission and vision of CUIB as well as the overview of the institution.
During his welcome remark at the Buea campus, Prof Ngoh appreciated the students for choosing CUIB and enjoined them to take their studies seriously by avoiding friends that may want to distract them from achieving their goal while at CUIB.
He said the offices of the institution are open for all students and that if they have challenges, they should not be afraid to knock at the relevant office(s) that can help address their challenges as CUIB main objective is to ensure that the students are at the center of everything which is why CUIB train job creators and not job seekers.
