CUIB Partner University Capitol Technology University wins U.S.A National Award for Best Cybersecurity Program
The Catholic University Institute of Buea’s Partner University for the Cybersecurity program, Capitol Technology University, has won an award for the best Cybersecurity Higher Education Program in the United States of America.
The Cybersecurity program of Capitol was seen to be the best program for the year due to significant progress made by the institution in bringing programs that can help meet up with the rapidly changing landscape of cyber criminality.
Capitol Technology University is a CUIB partner for the cybersecurity program in which CUIB has been the number one leader in Cameroon Higher Educational System, and this award affirms the Catholic University Institute of Buea as the best cybersecurity program in Africa.
The SC Media Award is a prestigious award that recognizes excellence and has a high degree of respect for quality education within the US.
The organization took into consideration the employability of students, innovative programs, hands-on teaching methods, and deeply rooted relationships with government entities as some of the reasons the University stood out as the winner.
The President of Capitol University Dr. Bradford Sims expressed his satisfaction with the award handed to their institution by SC Media for the best cybersecurity program in the US “Capitol is honored to be recognized with this award, especially as a small, private, non-profit STEM institution known predominantly by employers, such as the DoD, NSA, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon,”
The Dean of SIT at the Growth Mindset University, Catholic University Institute of Buea, Dr. Mokom Felicitas was pleased with the award of the best cybersecurity program in the US handed to the University that helps coordinate the CUIB Cybersecurity program which graduated its first batch of students in December 2019. She sent congratulatory messages to the Chair of the Program, Dr. William Butler, with whom CUIB’s department of Cyber Security works closely.
The SC Media award was handed to Capitol Technology University on February 25, 2020.
