“As you leave this conference today don’t stop working, don’t stop thinking, and don’t stop believing in yourself above all always work together as a team for great productivity because team work pays remember in life it is we and us not me and you. And seeing CUIB putting students first it tells me that, they are on the right track” Mgr. Mauricio West told the participants during the closing ceremony of the CUIB International Conference of Technology and Design.
The conference that lasted for three days was aimed at empowering CUIB community, high school students and some personalities on the importance of Technology and Design in a world that is rapidly changing due to constant technological advancement.
During the three days conference, the participants were trained on the significance of technology and how they can use technology to create a positive impact to their careers and to improve on their immediate environments.
In the opening the conference, Tom Balke and Anthony Morlando from US who were guest speakers, talked about technology and design (CAD) boosting the Engineering industry. The participants were informed about technological challenges, prospect of renewable energies for Cameroon for Cameroon and Africa.
During second day of the conference the participants were trained on designs that create impact in the world and how they can use their various skills to design their environments in a way that will bring out the beauty of their area while minimizing cost and preserving the environment.
The participants during the last day of the CUIB international conference on technology and designs had a working session during which participants had to come up with various designs that could be used to expand on the CUIB vision and objectives for an entrepreneurial University.
The guest speakers concluded the conference by reminding the participants that great designers are great thinkers and are people who are willing to take risk and should always trust their ideas and above all work as a team.
Rev.Fr. George Nkeze President of CUIB, appreciated the efforts of Mgr. Mauricio West and his team for organizing the CUIB international conference on Technology and Design and enjoined the students to put into practice what they have learn in the three days conference so as to make Africa and CUIB in particular a great University.
Rev.Fr. George Nkeze reiterated to the students that CUIB exits for students and that the number one priority for CUIB is to train the students to help them becomes the best version of them self.
“Our goal is to train professional servant leaders with spiritual and moral values so that they become the best version of themselves anything apart from that is not CUIB because we exits for our students and we have to ensure that they get the best while in CUIB.” Rev.Fr. George Nkeze concluded the CUIB International Conference on Technology and Design.
