CUIB 2020/2021 Orientation Ceremony.
The newly admitted students of the Catholic University Institute of Buea, CUIB for the 2020/2021 school year have been educated on the mission and vision of the growth mind-set university and the principles governing the institution which has as responsibilities to train students to be able to adapt in the rapidly changing world and to be job creators than job seekers.
The orientation ceremony took place simultaneously in both campuses, Buea and Douala which brought together all the newly admitted students and also returning students who were all reminded that they should be brand ambassadors for the institution which has a great reputation of training lifelong learners to handle 21st century problems.
In Douala the orientation was presided by the Executive Vice President Dr. Ngagu Eric, accompanied by the Vice Provost Dr. Felicita Mokom, Dr. Djikeng Fabrice Director of Douala Campus, faculty and staff of the campus.
Talking to the students, the Executive Vice President Dr. Ngangoum Eric told the newly admitted students that CUIB is a growth mind-set university that train the students on providing solutions to society and encouraged the students to take their lectures seriously while respecting the school rules and regulation of the university which remain apolitical and non-partisan.
Dr. Djikeng Fabrice Director of Douala explained the structure of the Douala campus and directed the students on where to complain in case they have problems and advised that they should respect the measures put in place by the school to fight the deadly coronavirus.He told the students that they are the number priority of the university and they must feel free to contact any faculty and staff should they have any worries.
The Vice Provost Dr. Felicita Mokom explained the academic structure of the university and also highlighted the importance for the students to be open to ubiquitous learning.In Buea the Orientation ceremony was chaired by Dr. Asobo Napoleon the Chief Academic officer of CUIB.He enjoined the students in Buea to be of good behavior and respect the guidelines of CUIB.
