“Be creative and always try to innovate for innovation and creativity are the game changers of today’s competitive world. Always trust in your idea for it is the most efficient way you can succeed in life; learn to create and not to be employed”

These words were echoed by the President/Pro-Chancellor of CUIB Rev.Fr. George Nkeze, to senior year students of CUIB during the official launching of the 4th Edition of CUIB-CERI Entrepreneurial Boot camp held under the theme “Creativity and innovation as Building Blocks for Entrepreneurship” for the 2017/2018 school year.

During the two days event which commenced this Friday November 24that the CUIB auditorium, the students will be drilled on business ideas and sustainable business ventures in a competitive world which entrepreneurship is the one and only best option.

According to the Vice President of CERI Mr. Eyong Eyong Thaddeus the Boot Camp will provide participants with variety of tools and techniques to help generate ground breaking ideas leading to innovative start-ups.

Addressing the senior year students, Mr. Eyong Eyong brought out a module in which he stated that if applied, will boast the thinking, creative, and entrepreneurial ideas of the students.

His module was based on ideation, creation, innovation and entrepreneurship. In this module he told the students that every great entrepreneur needs to have the ability to think out of the box and come up with new ideas and ways to market their ideas. That is ideation + creation + innovation = entrepreneurship.

He concluded his coaching by pointing out 5 things that can help the students to become great entrepreneurs including follow your passion, Don’t Follow Norms, Don’t accept mediocrity, don’t take nor give a “No” for an answer, and don’t be afraid to do your own thing.

The activity has brought together over 100 students with different Business startup ideas.
