Etta Alfred Wins Second Presidential Debate The campaigns for the 2025 Student Government Association (STUGA) election at the Bonaberi-Douala Campus are setting the stage for voting, which is to take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025. The two presidential candidates, Etta Alfred of the African Progress Alliance and Kamdem Tchuendem Leona of the Continuum Generation Party, had the opportunity to make their closing arguments to the university community. Both promised to respect the outcome of the election and to work together regardless of the result
They also promised to uphold the regulations and rules of CUIB and be the main brand ambassadors for CUIB, as it is their university. During the debate, which was chaired by Dr. Bansah Amstrong, the students also expressed gratitude to the management of the university for giving them the opportunity to gain leadership skills and to also showcase their talent in leadership.




The Director of Student Affairs, Miss Lipong Christell, encouraged the students to be responsible in their activities and also to put more energy into their academic activities. She also highlighted the voting modalities as well as voter eligibility.
At the end of the debate, Etta Alfred of APA won with 14/20, while Kamdem Tchuendem Leona of the Continuum Generation Party recorded 10/20.
