CUIB Douala Campus Students Embark on Inspiring Field Trip to ActivSpaces

In a bid to foster entrepreneurial spirit and innovation, senior year students from the Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB) Douala campus recently participated in an engaging field trip to ActivSpaces, a renowned startup incubator in Cameroon. The CUIB Douala delegation was recieved by Mr Frank Tamga, Administrative and Financial Manager of ActivSpaces who appreciated CUIB for coming to their institution. The students were accompanied by Mme Lipong Christell, Director of Student Affairs.
The visit is part of the entrepreneurial project of the GrowthMindsetEntrepreneurial University in which the students were exposed to the inner workings of various startups, including Bee, Cyberzone, Katika, Bisquiterie Bobo, and Ejara. These startups shared their inspiring stories, from conceptualization to launch, providing valuable insights into the world of entrepreneurship.
Mr. Frank Tamga kicked off the event with an overview of ActivSpaces’ history and mission. The students then had the opportunity to engage with the startups, asking questions and learning from their experiences.
A highlight of the trip was a tour of Bee’s headquarters in Akwa, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at a thriving startup.
The field trip achieved its objective of inspiring the students to embark on their own entrepreneurial journeys. As they networked with the CEOs and representatives of the startups, they gained valuable connections and left with renewed energy and motivation.
This collaboration between CUIB and ActivSpaces underscores the importance of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among young minds. By providing platforms for knowledge sharing and networking, we can empower the next generation of leaders to drive positive change in their communities
