The graduating students of the class of 2024 at the Catholic University Institute of Buea, Bonaberi Douala Campus, have been enjoined to uphold the moral and spiritual values imparted during their time at CUIB, the Growth Mindset Entrepreneurial University
The graduation ceremony began with a holy mass celebrated by CUIB’s Chancellor, His Lordship Michael Bibi, Bishop of Buea Diocese, accompanied by a college of priests. In his homily, His Lordship Michael Bibi reminded students of the university’s mission: preparing professional servant leaders with spiritual and moral values, as exemplified by Jesus Christ. He emphasized staying true to these values, being a guiding light for others, and acting with honor and dignity.
The commencement ceremony followed, beginning with an academic procession and a welcome address by CUIB President Rev. Fr. Bartholomew Anyanwu. He congratulated students on their academic achievements, advising them to embrace change and upcoming challenges.
A key highlight was HRM Fon Ndecham Chefon’s discourse, “The Future of Work and Entrepreneurship: Position Yourself for the Next Decade.” Chefon stated, “There are no jobs! The environment will disappoint you, but have faith in your chosen path.”
CUIB’s Chancellor, His Lordship Michael Bibi, encouraged graduates to innovate and maintain a strong spiritual connection, urging them to remain close to God.
