University Of Buea Praised CUIB Professionalism During The CUIB-UB 19th Senate Meeting
Professor Pierre Mvondo Awono, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Buea, the representative of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea on Friday April 2 2022, appreciated the Catholic University Institute of Buea for maintaining excellence and professionalism during the just ended first semester examination for the 2021/2022 school year at the Growth Mindset Entrepreneurial University
He made the appraisal during the joint CUIB-UB 19th senate meeting which was aimed at accessing the activities of the first semester results, review the way the exams were conducted as well as evaluating the results of the different schools to see into it that they are of standard, set aside by the ministry of higher education.
During the presentation of the activities that led to the successful organization of the first semester examination by the Chief Academic Officer of CUIB Dr. Asobo Napoleon, the University of Buea’s delegation were happy with the state at which the activities were carried out and appreciated the President Professor Victor Julius Ngoh and his team for a job well done.
Speaking to senate members, Prof. Victor Julius Ngoh reiterated the need for faculty members to focus on research and development to enable them advance to the next level of their career and that funds are at their disposal for them to continue with their research work while stressing on the fact that faculty members must understand that in university you either Publish or Perish as a faculty member.
He enjoined them to stay professional and appreciated their efforts in the successful organization of the first semester and noted that the priority of CUIB is to train professional servant leaders with spiritual and moral values thus, faculty members must make sure that they put in place mechanism to prevent any act of examination malpractices from students.
At the end of the deliberation the results were all approved by the senate members and are now set for publication.
