The CDS department of Network Administration is responsible for the entire computer LAN and WAN network of CUIB campuses. This department ensures that all the Schools, Centers and Offices are interconnected. It is also in charge of the campus telephony, wireless connection, video conferencing, and troubleshooting of the entire network.

The department is made up of highly qualified staff with years of experience in the Information Technology field. These staff also organizes seminars to train faculty, staff and students of CUIB on network usage. CUIB has a high internet connection which helps both faculty and students in their day to day research and also improves the efficiency in the quality of work in CUIB. With increasing cybercrime the staff of the CUIB network department is working hard to ensure the security of the network more especially as CUIB is growing in terms of infrastructure and a tremendous increase in the student body.

We are also responsible for the system Administration of the entire university’s IT infrastructure which involves the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and management of Servers and Desktop, User, Groups, system permissions, individual user accounts and system security supports just to name a few. This department ensures better management of network resources for better quality of service and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling faculty, staff, and student have access.

The Unit is made up of highly specialized staff with experience in the Information Technology field and participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation of the university.
