The Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB) Bonaberi-Douala campus recently hosted a thought-provoking colloquium titled “Mastering the Value Game: How to Win Business by Creating What Customers Crave.” The event was presided over by Dr. Ngangoum Eric, Director of the Douala campus, alongside deans, directors, faculty, and staff.

The guest speaker, Mme. Besong Martha Agbortabong, delivered an inspiring address focused on the importance of value creation and networking in the business landscape. She emphasized to the students that understanding customer needs is crucial for successful entrepreneurship

During the session, students were encouraged to engage actively, posing questions that Mme. Agbortabong addressed comprehensively. She highlighted that while entrepreneurs are inherently risk-takers, it is essential to first identify the needs of the community before developing products that effectively meet those needs.

The colloquium provided a valuable platform for students to gain insights into the dynamics of business success and the significance of aligning entrepreneurial efforts with community demands. The event concluded with a renewed sense of motivation among attendees to apply these principles in their future endeavors
