CUIB sends out 258 Students into the Job Market

The Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB), the Growth Mindset Entrepreneurial University, sent out 258 students into the job market in the field of Engineering, Business, Agriculture and Information Technology.

This was during the 2019 Commencement Ceremony that took place on Friday 13th December 2019 and was chaired by the Chancellor/Founder His Lordship Bishop Immanuel Bushu accompanied by the President/Pro-Chancellor Rev. Fr George Nkeze, the Provost of the University, Dr. Atem George, and some other top-ranking officials within and without the university

The commencement activities with a Thanksgiving mass  that took place on Thursday 12th December 2019 to thank God almighty for his grace upon the lives of the senior year students in transition and to also thank God for taking  the students throughout their studies while in CUIB.

Rev. Fr. George in his opening remark at the commencement ceremony, appreciated the parents who trusted CUIB and sent their children to study in the school and reminded the Growth Mindset batch on their role to change the cooperate world and to implement all what they learned in CUIB in their different areas of specialty.

He also commended the students for their contribution in seeing that CUIB meets up with its objective of empowering students with hands-on skills fit for the 21st century which has been captioned the 4th Industrial Revolution, an era characterized by constant change and introduction of new technologies.

“We must stop cultural entropy doing one thing over and over and expecting different results, education has changed and our institution has changed her educational model to meet up with existing challenges.

Our students are trained to solve problems and be solution providers “Father George Nkeze told the Parents.

Mr. Roland Kwemain the keynote speaker, reminded the students on the golden principles they need to consider as the leave CUIB including determination, defined vision, focus, and being principle oriented just to name a few.

The Chancellor of CUIB, His Lordship Bishop Immanuel Bushu was very happy with the performance of the students and enjoined them to be good ambassadors of the institution and always put God first in all they do as God is the center of humanity.

“We are an EOC university working for the good of others and making the student to understand that they need to provide services to the community” Bishop Bushu Concluded

CUIB Economy of Francesco pre-event was also part of the commencement activities to educated students on the importance of EOC. The event took place in Buea on 11th December under the auspices of the Bishop of Buea Immanuel Bushu
