Orientation at Douala Campus for the 2026/2027 Accademic Year

Freshman students at the Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB), Douala Campus, have been reminded of their immense potential to conquer and transform the world as they officially launch their 2026/2027 academic journey. The charge was given by the President of CUIB, Dr. Felicitas Mokom, during her welcome address. She urged the incoming students to actively engage with their lectures at all levels and maintain an open mind toward learning.

Dr. Mokom emphasized that choosing CUIB is a defining step, as the institution’s entrepreneurial ecosystem equips students with a strong business and problem-solving mindset. She added that CUIB’s blend of rigorous theory and practical training will empower students to stand out as unique leaders. As part of CUIB’s signature welcome tradition, the freshers shared symbolic handshakes with faculty and staff, a warm gesture ushering them into the university family.

During the general orientation, students were introduced to key offices and departments, guided through CUIB’s rules and regulations, and given a platform to ask questions about the upcoming academic year. The event concluded with departmental orientation sessions, where students met directly with their lecturers and department staff to set the pace for their studies.
