Every Drop Counts: CUIB SHS Marks World Blood Donor Day with Life-Saving Outreach
Today 12th June 2026, the School of Health Sciences (SHS) at the Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB), Buea Campus, is currently hosting a health outreach activity in anticipation of World Blood Donor Day. Taking place at the SHS Laboratory, the ongoing event has brought together students, staff, and community members to promote voluntary blood donation. Organized in collaboration with the Catholic University Health Sciences Association of Buea (CUHSAB), participants are benefiting from free medical services including blood group testing, HIV screening, hepatitis testing, and voluntary blood donation.
The exercise is being conducted under professional medical supervision, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout. This ongoing initiative sets the stage for the main World Blood Donor Day celebration scheduled for 14th June 2026
