CUIB Fair

CUIB-CERI Entrepreneurship and Academic Fair (CCEAF) is an initiative of CUIB-CERI meant to be an annual flagship event of CUIB to provide opportunities that will help promote the CUIB Principles of translating theory to practice.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the fair are to:

Enhance acquisition of practical skills, knowledge and behaviors of students of CUIB by exposing them to guidance by practicing entrepreneurs within an academic environment focused on meeting predetermined business objectives.
Enable CUIB and students present their activities, projects and aspirations intended to build the next generation of job creators in Cameroon.
Create opportunities for pupils and students at the basic, secondary and tertiary levels to interact with local, national and international entrepreneurs and innovators who share the vision of CUIB.
Widen the marketing and public relations horizon of CUIB partners among children and youth within the South West Region of Cameroon and beyond.

The Entrepreneurial and Academic Fair shall have a blend of different activities to suit individual and collective needs. As part of the Entrepreneurial Training and Practice (ENP) programme all CUIB students shall be divided into different committees, groups and stands to plan, implement and evaluate the fair. Their involvement, performance and aptitude shall be specially graded by clients, supervisors and coordinators to earn them practical ENP scores for the semester.

There would be exposition in various stands mounted by companies, SMEs, NGOs, etc.
Seminars, business clinic, research parks, competitions, speaking contests and a variety of intellectual and academic games.

Musical concerts and cultural shows.
Conferences shall be organized every day of the fair (Monday to Saturday) with presentations made by distinguished guest speakers, faculty and students. Access is open to people interested in specialized information on companies and the programs of CUIB, education and research institutions.

Students and staff of CUIB
Buea community, profit and not for profit organizations.
Entrepreneurs, Industries, companies and corporations nationwide.
Multinational companies and organisations.
Government and Sectoral services.
Entrepreneurs, innovators and researchers.
Schools, colleges and higher education establishments, pupils and students.

Visible space for your logo on posters, fliers, tickets, street and indoor banners, etc.
Student volunteers as hostesses, personnel and technical support (screen projections, energy, water, Wi-Fi, etc) offered free by the university.
Coverage of your participation and activities by partner media organs.
Dissemination of partner information and actions to students and visitors.
Insertion in the event activity report magazine.
Awareness talks to students and visitors on your products, programs, services.

Colloquium Guest Speaker Activities

In collaboration with CUIB’s institutional partner Go Ahead Africa Ltd, CERI organizes every second Wednesday of the month from 1pm a colloquium inviting distinguished professionals as Guest speakers to share experiences with and inspire students to dream and start the journey to greatness, review success stories and identify matching models.

This monthly entrepreneurial and academic activity is meant to maximize exposure and experience of CUIB students.

Students are encouraged to participate, take notes, ask questions and make succinct summaries of activity, research and lessons learnt following prescribed guidelines which shall be considered as part of student annual ENP CA notes. A maximum of three colloquium activity shall be considered for ENP scores per semester.
Students have to submit their report latest the following Wednesday after the Guest Speaker presentation.
