CUIB Board of Trustee Meeting For 2017/2018 School Year

Members of the Board of Trustee of the Catholic University Institute of Buea met on Thursday 18th January 2018 at the main campus Wokaka to evaluate the effective resumption of the 2017/2018 school year and assess the just ended 2016/2017 school year which was marked with social instability.
The meeting had in attendance Senator     Mbella Moki Charles, Nkeng Micheal-Lord Mayor of Muyuka, Mrs. Helen Ebai, Mr. Roland Kwamian just to name but these and had as chair Bishop Immanuel Bushu as well as the President of CUIB  Rev. Fr. George Nkeze .
Welcoming the members of the Board of trustee the Chancellor/Proprietor of CUIB Bishop Immanuel Bushu, appreciated the board members for the dedication and contribution to the growth of CUIB.

He equally appreciated the President of the University Rev. Fr. Dr. George Nkeze for his dedication and hard work in ensuring the smooth functioning of the school despite the ongoing Anglophone crisis.
“I am happy that we are able to meet at this time of the year to look at what has happened since the academic year started in the month of October and I know it has not been easy and I think the President is working very hard to make sure that the few students who are there are able to move ahead in the difficult situation. I think we should congratulate them and I want to thank the President and his team for the success so far because I know it has not been easy” Bishop Immanuel Bushu told the board members.

After the deliberations, the board members were impressed with the presentation and updates given by the President/Pro-Chancellor of the University Rev. Fr. George Nkeze.
On his part, Senator Mbella Moki Charles In an interview with the press gave this remark “I Really want to say that it was a fruitful board meeting and I was very happy with the updates and presentation by the President of CUIB. It shows that we are on the right track and if we fully implement the road map presented by Rev. Fr. Nkeze, CUIB will be the best in Africa. I equally want to call on parents to send their children to school for education is the best gift u can give a child”.
The board looks forward to the implementation of the decisions arrived at during this meeting as well as a peaceful 2017/2018 school year.
