2016 Week of Excellence Award
Tchokote Herve, a graduate student from the School of Information Technology won the third prize at the 2016 Week of Excellence organized by the South West Regional Centre for Research and Innovation with his SelfConsult platform, an online medical network. He is also self-employed as the CEO of the SelfConsult company.
Quizzy App and the Shroom Buster developer
Mbah Raymond, a graduate student from the School of IT was awarded a two year scholarship for a Masters program at the University of St Thomas, Minnesota, USA. He also developed the Quizzy App and the Shroom Buster in 2014, which have been hosted on Google store with over 5000 downloads worldwide.
Certified Faculty
School of IT faculty have obtained International certifications in Comptia Security+ and Oracle Certified Associate (OCA). School of IT faculty have several research publications in reputable Information Technology peer-reviewed conferences and journals.
"10 Academy"
Tchokote Noubibou Herve was recently selected for a pilot program called "10 Academy" organized by Infinite Potentials in Ghana from more than 2000 people across 44 countries in Africa. The program’s mission is to identify, train and launch young graduate leaders in Africa who will have the potential to build 10x in Africa.
