The School of Engineering was created as one of the four Schools that took off when CUIB was created in May 2010. The School offers a four year integrated program which includes Chemical Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
SENG works with renowned companies with notable labs like; Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC), National Advanced School of Public Work, University of Buea, Government Technical High School Kumba and IRAD Ekona which enables students carry out laboratory practical as a follow up to theories taught in class. At SENG students (Freshmen, Sophomore) go for internship during the summer holidays while Junior students go for work experience during their second semester.
The students of the School have been making remarkable attempts of engaging in the concept of Entrepreneurship and Economy of Communion as evidenced in the several projects that have been undertaken by different student groups like the Emerald group who have come up with Moringa tea to look out for diabetic patience. The Faculty and students have also worked on an Egusi Melon processing Machine which saw one of our students selected for the Tony Elumelu award to Young Entrepreneurs
The school is headed by a Dean, A Vice Dean, Three Administrative Assistance, Faculty Members and a Priest who together help the study enjoy their stay at the SENG.
Our Undergraduate Programmes prepare professional engineers for leadership roles in industry and entrepreneurship, responding to the global, technological, economic, and societal challenges of the 21st century.
To produce graduates who will demonstrate and establish an edge in academic and technical competence amongst colleagues and achieve professional recognition in their workplace (Academia or Industry.
Train graduates who will utilize their skills and resourcefulness to invent, design and realize cost effective technology to meet local needs that is finding innovative solutions to engineering.
Train our graduates in a way so as to enable them embrace cultural societal, environmental, and ethical issues in their work through our volunteerism, catholic education, entrepreneurship and civic education programs.
Our graduates should be able to recognize the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning.
Train students in a way to ensure excellence in multi-disciplinary teams and multi-cultural teams
